Achieve savings by producing clean energy from your own solar power plant!
With 15 years of experience in building solar power plants, Conseko d.o.o. Belgrade will guide you through the entire process of developing a solar power plant for your own needs.
Solar power plants generate clean electricity, and if you have larger roof space, a solar power plant is the ideal solution for reducing your electricity bills. The generated electricity will be used for your own consumption, reducing the amount you draw from the grid and helping you achieve significant savings.
The steady decrease in solar panel prices year after year has made solar plants from 15 to 150 kW economically viable in our region, with a full return on investment in just 3 to 6 years.
Electricity production for self-consumption
Solar power plants can provide 30–70% of a building’s electricity consumption during the day.
For a grid-connected power plant to produce electricity solely for self-consumption, it must be connected behind the metering point for measuring electricity use and equipped with a smart meter that monitors electricity flows behind the meter and limits inverter production when it exceeds current consumption.
Solar plants with capacities of 3 kW to 5 kW can cover more than 70% of a household’s electricity needs, while solar power plants with capacities above 15 kW are an economically viable solution for businesses.

Feeding surplus green energy into the grid
Surplus energy from a solar power plant can be delivered to the electricity supplier, provided that an application for the plant has been submitted to the Electricity Distribution company and approval for connection has been granted.
In this way, a small electricity producer, who primarily generates energy for self-consumption, can feed excess energy into the distribution system and further reduce their electricity bill.
Citizens (individuals) with solar power plants up to 10.6 kW can use the generated electricity for their own needs, while surplus unused energy can be stored in the grid and later withdrawn as previously delivered energy.
Based on the Prosumers Regulation and the Law on Planning and Construction, for solar power plants from 10 kW to 50 kW there is a simplified procedure for legal entities to obtain connection permits and compensation for surplus energy delivered to the distribution system.
Example: Profitability of a 66 kWp solar power plant for a legal entity – Commercial supply
Solar power plant capacity: 66 kWp Required installation area: 280 m² |
|
---|---|
Number of solar panels | 147 pcs (450 W each) |
Total inverter capacity | 50kW |
Annual energy production in the Belgrade region | 78.050 kWh |
Electricity price for commercial customers (low voltage 400V) | 0,1026 €/kWh VT System access: 2.473 din/kWh in VT Additional fees: 0.801 + 0.015 din/kWh + 7.5% excise = 0.14 €/kWh |
Estimated annual savings (at current prices, using energy 7 days a week): | €10,900/year (excluding VAT) |
Plant purchase price with installation | €27,500 (including installation and and documentation, excluding 20% VAT) |
Simple payback period | 2.52 years for legal entities |
10-year savings* (without electricity price growth) | 104.640 € |
The calculation was made for the power plant operating 7 days a week. If the plant does not operate on Sundays, the payback period is 2.85 years.
We build solar power plants on a turnkey basis, including component supply, installation, documentation, and plant commissioning.

Example: Profitability for a household – 8 kW mini solar power plant
Maximum plant capacity: 8 kW Required area for panel installation: 8.2 × 6 m |
|
---|---|
Number of solar panels | 20 pcs (440 W each) |
System location | On the roof of a residential or commercial building, in the Belgrade area |
Required area on a south-facing pitched roof | 8.2m x 6m |
Annual energy production in the Belgrade region | 10.100 kWh |
Plant purchase price with installation | €7,250 (installation and commissioning included, excluding 20% VAT) |
Electricity price for households | 27.32 RSD/kWh, peak rate (red tariff) 13.66 RSD/kWh, peak rate (blue tariff) 7.5% excise duty |
Loss when feeding surplus into the grid | - 5 din/kWh |
Annual loss when 70% is fed into the grid | – €302 (excl. VAT) |
Estimated annual savings* | €994 (excl. VAT) |
Simple payback period | 7.29 years for a household |
15-year savings (without electricity price growth) | €13,600 |
The estimated annual savings are calculated assuming an average of 70% of the energy is fed into the grid; it is also assumed that without solar panels, 1,000 kWh per year is consumed in the red zone (4 months × 250 kWh in the “red” zone, at the higher tariff).
If a heat pump or inverter air conditioner is used for heating or cooling, daytime energy consumption often exceeds 3 kW. In that case, a solar power plant for self-consumption delivers greater savings. The above calculation shows annual savings at current electricity prices. The return on investment in a solar power plant is better than keeping the money in a bank.
